Students that are late must report to the office for a late slip, in order to gain admittance to their room.

Lateness is not only upsetting to the child but it disrupts the entire class. After the third lateness a detention will be given and continue after every third lateness. Should a student be late ten or more days a saturday detention will be given which will include a fee of $30.00 to cover the cost of a teacher to supervise. ANY STUDENTS LATE 20 OR MORE TIMES FOR THE YEAR MAY HAVE TO ATTEND SUMMER SCHOOL.

ABSENCES

To protect your child, all students who are absent must be called out by 8:30am. Upon returning to school the student must have a note with the reason for being absent. Absences of three (3) or more days require a doctor's note. If no note is received parental neglect will be recorded for the reason.

A student with 20 or more absences for the year may be required to attend summer school in order to be promoted to the next grade.
